SAN ANTONIO — The Spurs announced a new jersey patch partnership with Paris-based digital asset security leader Ledger on Tuesday.
The multi-year agreement marks a milestone in the Spurs’ transition from a legacy franchise to a formative global brand.
“This moment cements a decades-long history of international collaboration and growth by the Spurs organization, as the game of basketball has grown to touch every culture and continent,” said RC Buford, CEO of Spurs Sports & Entertainment. “Ledger has led the way in the digital asset space, having helped to build the industry from the ground up. With this international collaboration, we are proud to stand alongside them as we connect the next generation of fans and leaders around the world.”
Ledger secures more than 20% of the world’s crypto and its security platform Ledger Enterprise is used by more than 70 organizations worldwide.
“When I met RC and the Spurs team, it was clear we had total alignment in values and vision for the future,” said Pascal Gauthier, Chairman & CEO of Ledger. “The U.S. is Ledger’s top market globally, and aligning ourselves with an historic U.S. sports team, which boasts a deep French connection past and present, will help us onboard the next generation of sovereign individuals. The San Antonio Spurs, at the heart of America in Texas, is the future of the league, growing their fandom rapidly, and the most international team the NBA has to offer. Our multi-year partnership is one of many major milestones in 2025, a year that will go down in history as the inception of a new era of Ledger.”
In addition to the new partnership, a new Spurs x Ledger branded jerseys will be debuted at the NBA draft on June 25.
The new jersey will be presented to their first-round draft picks, number 2 and number 14 overall, and then at the NBA California Classic games tipping off in San Francisco on Saturday, July 5.
The new patch will be featured on the San Antonio Spurs and Austin Spurs team jerseys, fan jerseys sold by the Official Spurs Fan Shop and the San Antonio Spurs shooting shirts and practice jerseys.
