PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Authorities are investigating after a man’s body was found during a brush fire near downtown Phoenix on Saturday night.
Around 8 p.m., first responders were called to the area of 15th Avenue and Lincoln Street.
Officers arrived and found an unresponsive man surrounded by a brush fire. The Phoenix Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire, and the man was pronounced dead on the scene.
An investigation is underway, and the man was taken to the Forensic Science Center for further examination. He has not yet been identified.
