The Converse University Athletic Department announced the hiring of Logan Springer as the new assistant basketball coach, while current assistant basketball coach Dexter Terry adds head developmental coach to his responsibilities.
“I’m very excited to have both Logan and Dexter as a part of our program,” Converse University head basketball coach Kyle Perry said. “I have known both of them for sometime now and both are high character men who will play an instrumental role in the development of our young men in our program. Logan comes from a very successful program at Wingate and Dexter has done a great job here at Converse.”
Springer comes to Converse after spending the last two seasons at Wingate University. As a member of the Bulldogs coaching staff, Springer helped Wingate to an overall record of 34-24 with an NCAA Tournament Appearance in his first season. Prior to his time at Wingate, Springer was an assistant coach for the District Basketball Club and was a student manager for the UNC JV Basketball team.
Terry stays on staff after helping the Valkyries win 45 games in their past three seasons. Terry has helped a pair of Converse athletes to All-Conference accolades and will be taking over a developmental team coming off their best season to date.
