Cockatoos are so silly. There is genuinely not a serious bone in a Cockatoo’s body, and that’s the best part! They don’t take literally anything in the world seriously. In a time when the world seems to always be painfully serious, it’s nice to be able to laugh a little.
Recently, one Cockatoo tried his best to make everyone laugh, especially his mom. She had a blanket, and he decided he wanted to play! When you’re a feathered toddler, there’s no better game than “peek-a-too.”
Casper the Cockatoo literally could not be any sweeter if he tried. If I ever live out my dream of getting one of these feathered menaces, I want one like him!

Casper is an Umbrella Cockatoo: he’s all white, just like Casper the Friendly Ghost! Also like Casper the Friendly Ghost, Casper the Cockatoo is friendly and sweet. He spends most of his day snacking and playing with mom. He loves to happily squawk away, even when no one is around!
On this day, he wanted to play and snuggle at the same time. He loves playing games with mom, but it was a lazy day! Luckily, she had just the thing: a blanket. He was cuddled up under it, and like the sweet boy he is, he’d say “peek-a-boo” every time she lifted it!
When it’s time to get serious, though, Casper is there. Particularly when dad is there:

Cockatoos Love to Play Games
If you want to get a Cockatoo, you need to be willing to play with them. They need to interact with their humans every single day, and on top of that, you need to be doing something mentally stimulating with them. Games like peek-a-too are perfect!
Casper loves to play, and luckily, his parents play around with him all the time. He’s living his best life, and rumor has it that he’s an absolute peek-a-too master!
