A Kitchener man is facing multiple charges following what Waterloo Regional Police say was a three-month-long drug trafficking investigation.

It’s unclear when exactly that drug trafficking investigation began, but police say they carried out a search warrant as recently as Wednesday as two residences in Kitchener.

Police have not specified where in Kitchener those search warrants were executed.

Those searches were successful, resulting in the seizure of a firearm, two-stolen motorcycles and roughly $5,000 in Canadian currency.

Also seized were unspecified quantities of drugs, including suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, MDMA and hydromorphone pills.

That 46-year-old from Kitchener has since been arrested, now facing multiple charges including:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (four counts)
  • Operation of a conveyance while prohibited
  • Possession of property obtained by crime (three counts)

Police say that man was held in custody for a bail hearing.
