The Benjamin Logan varsity girls golf team fought a tight match against Ridgemont on Friday at Kenton Memorial Golf Course but came up just short.

Ridgemont scored 232 to Benjamin Logan’s 236.

Catherine Bramlage stood out, earning medalist honors with a solid 48.

Other scorers included Bea Warren (61), Leah Braddock (62), Kaylynn Crumm (65), Annika Schmidt (67), Sophia (River) VanVoorhis (71), and Alayna Johnson (81).

The Lady Raiders are back in action next Friday when they take on Indian Lake at Prairie View Golf Course in Waynesfield.

Over at Liberty Hills, the Lady Tigers improved to 2-1 on the season with a close two-stroke win over Southeastern, 200 to 202.

Olivia Reichardt led with a 45, followed by Geneva Estep (47), Grace Jones (53), and Taylor Cook (55).

On the boys’ side, the Chieftians faced tough competition at the Arrow Invitational at Windy Knoll.

They didn’t place but played well on a challenging course, finishing with a team score of 368.

Top scores came from Collen Brugler (87), Kyle Boop (88), Cody Hudson (94), and Noah Smith (99).

They’ll look to bounce back Monday at Bluffton during the Pirate Invitational.
