Over 20 firefighters are battling to control a house fire in western Sydney which has collapsed the roof.
Firefighters were called to a home on Carlisle Crescent in Cambridge Gardens, near Penrith, at 11.43am today after the two-storey property went up in flames.
“Heavy” flames are on both floors and have caused the roof to collapse, Fire Rescue NSW Superindendent Adam Berry said.

Six firetrucks and 22 firefighters are on the scene attempting to extinguish the blaze.
The fire is spreading throughout the home but there is no threat to adjoining properties.
There is significant structural damage to the home.
Authorities do not believe anybody was inside.

It is too early to determine what sparked the blaze, Berry said.
An investigation will be launched.
