On August 10, 1995, the NHL officially announced the birth of the Colorado Avalanche. Thirty years later, the team is set to celebrate its anniversary.

And on Sunday, the franchise revealed its 30th Anniversary logo, which will be at center ice for the upcoming season.

It’s unclear as of now what the team has in store for its 30th season, but there are rumors already swirling that they’re going to revive the Quebec Nordiques jersey. The team said in a release on Sunday that they’ll have more announcements coming soon.

The Nordiques, who struggled financially at the time, relocated to Denver, and had about two months to prepare for their inaugural season in a new city. It ended up going pretty well, and the Avs won their first of three Stanley Cups in 29 seasons. Joe Sakic, Peter Forsberg, and Adam Foote were part of the Nordiques core that relocated with the team.

Here’s the video the team released Sunday morning.
