“Isn’t it past time for track limits ? Can we just wherever we feel like it ?” one fan wrote on social media.

Dale Jr. responded: “We don’t seem to care about cutting the apron at Phoenix. This has been what it is for a few years now. Shoulda never paved it. Coulda paved Bristol with all that asphalt.”

Many took to social media to weigh in, agreeing that Dale Jr. was right about the track in Phoenix.

“Phoenix getting reconfigured and its consequences has been a disaster for the nascar cup series,” one fan wrote.

“I think it’s dangerous and it looks ridiculous. Not to mention, it might provide more passing opportunities if they were made to drive the track at phoenix,” one fan added.

“Bring back the island so they jump again. I hate how much they cut Phoenix, looks so stupid,” one fan added.

“Enforce track limits plain and simple. Other series give you a warning. Do it again, and it’s a stop and go or drive through penalty. Simple really,” one fan added.
