PHOENIX — Thrift shoppers will be excited to hear that a Goodwill is opening a new store in the West Valley.

The store will be located at 16531 W. Bell Road in Surprise

Thursday’s will include a ribbon cutting ceremony at 8:45 a.m.

The first 150 people in line will get a $5 gift card to shop at the new store.

Anyone who brings a full bag of donations during the grand opening weekend will get a $5 coupon toward a purchase of $10 or more.

The new Goodwill store, the fourth in Surprise, will open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The store is part of the Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) branch, which was founded in 1947.

Profits from all Goodwill stores support the nonprofit’s mission services including career development, training and education initiatives.

“There is always a lot of fun and excitement around a new store’s grand opening,” GCNA Senior Vice President Adam Lewis said in a statement.” We encourage everyone to come out, enjoy free coffee and donuts and help us celebrate.”
