Residents in Granada Hills and Porter Ranch finally have their water services restored Monday morning after it was out for nearly a week.

However, the Boil Water Notice is still in effect as there is still some quality testing that the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power needs to do.

The LADWP said that they expect the boil water notice to remain in effect for a few more days, until water quality testing is completed and they receive clearance from the State Division of Drinking Water.

Until that is done, customers are urged to follow the Boil Water Notice instructions at ladwpnews.com

“Thank you to all of our customers for your patience and to our crews for their hard work under hazardous conditions and very hot weather,” the LADWP said.

According to LADWP, crews restored services to all of the customers who were “impacted by the water outage as a result of a broken valve that required complex repairs” at around 2:37 this morning.

As of Monday, residents are now able to use their tap water to shower, flush their toilets and use water for landscaping or other household needs. For more details, residents can visit ladwp.com/waterquality.
