PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Phoenix police are investigating after a shooting victim was dropped off at a hospital and died a short time later.
Around 4 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a hospital near 27th Avenue and Beardsley Road, just south of the Loop 101. Police learned a man was dropped off at the hospital suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Staff attempted lifesaving measures, but the man was soon pronounced dead. His name has not been released.
Homicide detectives have assumed the investigation and are working to determine where the shooting occurred. Additional details about the case have not yet been released.
