Texas A&M basketball’s schedule is out for the 2025-26 season. This will be Bucky McMillan’s first season as an Aggie, after a six-year stint from Buzz Williams. Williams’ last season with the Aggies was one to remember, even if their season ended in the Round of 32. A load of veterans and tenacious rebounders gave the Aggies some key wins last season, including an upset against No. 1 Auburn.

Now, it’s Bucky McMillan’s time. This is going to be a much different style of play compared to Buzz, but fans will have plenty to look forward to. The SEC will once again be a gauntlet every weekend, but it’s still possible the Aggies could find themselves in March Madness.

Here are the three most crucial games for Texas A&M in the 2025-26 basketball season.

3. Tennessee

No Zakai Zeigler won’t be too much of a problem for Rick Barnes and his squad. They will have a team eerily similar to Buzz’ team from last season. They will still have Felix Okpara, Cade Phillips and J.P. Estrella to man the middle, and Ja’Kobi Gillespie will be tough to guard as well.

That game will be on the road in Knoxville on Jan. 13 or Jan. 14 in the middle of the week. It’ll be early in SEC play, so this will be a great test for Bucky’s new team on the road.

2. Kentucky

This will be an early March affair inside Reed Arena. As basketball fans well know, Kentucky is one of the blue bloods in college basketball. Any Wildcat team is going to be tough, and this will be a tough one for the Aggies.

This is definitely a winnable game for the Ags, considering this Wildcat team will look slightly different from last season, but UK will still be a threat nonetheless.

1. Florida

The national champs have to be No. 1 on this list. The Gators are looking for back-to-back titles, and even though they lost Walter Clayton Jr. to the draft, this isn’t fazing opponents at all.

The Gators are set to unleash 7-foot-9 Canadian giant, Olivier Rioux. His movement will definitely be tested throughout the year, but it’ll be interesting to see what the Aggies can do to stop him, if they can.

The Gators are out for more, and depending on how the Aggies are doing up to this point, this game on Feb. 7 might just be a candidate for ESPN’s College GameDay to showcase a potential upset.
