Each time Aldi brings around a new batch of Finds, there is inevitably a slew of new potato chips varieties added to the mix. With everything from Loaded Bacon and Cheddar and Spicy Dill Pickle to Cheesy Queso and Honey Hot BBQ, there is a new chip option for those seeking a snack thrill.
The latest Aldi drop, Clancy’s Sweet Potato Chips, come in two flavors: Garden Jalapeno and Farmhouse Ranch. While Aldi’s kettle-style Simply Nature Sweet Potato Chips with Sea Salt have been around for quite some time, these look to be more like a traditional chip coated in seasoning concoctions.
Per the Farmhouse Ranch ingredient label, the ranch-inspired seasoning is made with onion, garlic and tomato powders, as well as dehydrated green bell pepper and spices. The Garden Jalapeno is a mixture of jalapeno, onion and garlic powders, dried parsley, paprika and sea salt.

Per @inthechipswithdick on Instagram, an account dedicated solely to taste testing new potato chip varieties, the Garden Jalapeno has “good heat, good sweetness”, “some kick to it” and “good sweet potato flavor”. He also noted you “get that nice smoothness” when eating the chips, and “the jalapeno flavor is definitely there”.
An Aldi Aisle of Shame Facebook poster stated, in reference to the Farmhouse Ranch, that they “bought these and may have eaten the whole bag, they are so delicious!”. Another fan exclaimed, “I need these to be a staple in my pantry”. And one more said, “They are really good”.
Each 6-ounce bag retails for $2.99 and will be a limited-time only product, like most Aldi Finds.
