PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for August 13, 2025:
New India Bazaar – 2544 N 7th Street, Phoenix
3 violations:
- Raw eggs stored above container of green curry
- Cooked spinach paste not kept cold enough in prep fridge
- Roaches in sticky glue traps
Biancas Gelatos and Fun Food – 3111 W Chandler Blvd, Chandler
3 violations:
- Employee food and beverages above food for service
- Employee handled money then food
- Live roaches crawling around restaurant
Thai Chili 2 Go – 4984 S Power Rd, Mesa
3 violations:
- Dried chicken debris in the raw chicken cutting machine
- Liquid egg not kept cold enough
- Multiple spatulas damaged
JoJo’s Shake Bar – 15037 N Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale
3 violations:
- No procedures in place to clean up vomit
- Chef not washing hands correctly
- Cooked chili and marinara sauce not kept hot enough
Fate Brewing Company – 201 E Southern Ave, Tempe
4 violations:
- No certified food manager
- Dishwasher not cleaning properly
- Fried onions and potatoes not kept hot enough
- Cooked ribs and pastrami kept past discard dates
