Woman identified after rifle tossed in the air, discharges in stomach

SAN ANTONIO – The woman who was shot and killed after throwing a rifle in the air and having it discharge has been identified.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, Elizabeth Villalobos, 28, was killed on Thursday morning after a man and she were playing with a rifle, threw it in the air, and the gun discharged, striking Villalobos in the stomach.

The man involved in the incident has been taken into custody for questioning, though no charges have been filed.
