Phoenix Public Library is joining music artist Laufey in celebrating A Very Laufey Day on Sunday, August 24, 2025, a global event dedicated to music, books, and community.

Fans worldwide will follow special itineraries curated by Laufey herself to celebrate her music, her love of reading, and the spirit of connection. This year, Phoenix is one of only five public library systems around the world offering an exclusive AVLD x Phoenix Public Library collaborative library card.

“I’m so honored that Phoenix Public Library is one of five public library systems around the world launching a limited-edition Laufey Book Club collaborative library card!” said Laufey.

How to Get the Exclusive Card 

On Sunday, August 24, community members can sign up for, or exchange their current card for, the limited-edition Laufey card at the following Phoenix Public Library locations:

  • Burton Barr Central Library – 1221 N. Central Ave., 85004 | 1–5 p.m.
  • Cholla Library – 10050 Metro Parkway E., 85051 | 12–10 p.m.
  • Harmon Library – 1325 S. 5th Ave., 85003 | 12–10 p.m.
  • Yucca Library – 5648 N. 15th Ave., 85015 | 12–10 p.m.

Special Bookmobile pop-up visits will also be held at:

  • Mesquite Library – 4525 E. Paradise Village Parkway N., 85032 | 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
  • Desert Sage Library – 7602 W. Encanto Blvd., 85035 | 1–3 p.m.

Please note: Current Phoenix Public Library cardholders who choose the exclusive Laufey design will receive a new library card number.
