The Westport Library’s annual book sale fundraiser begins Sept. 6 and runs through Sept. 13. The event will take place during library hours, according to a community announcement.

A special Friends of the Westport Library member-only night is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Sept. 5. Memberships can be purchased at the door for $20 for individuals and $25 for families.

The sale will feature over 10,000 books, CDs and DVDs. Categories include fiction, history, biography, young adult and children’s books. Children’s books are priced at 25 cents each, while other books range from $1 to $2. Specially priced books include autographed titles, classics and antiques.

The sale concludes with Bag of Books Day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 13, where attendees can fill a provided bag for $5.

This fundraiser is the primary annual event for the Friends of the Westport Library. Proceeds will support the library by funding book purchases, passes to local attractions, special programs and other materials.

Library hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. For more information, visit fowlwestportma.org.
