Taylor Swift may be a great cook — and now, by her own admission, a full-fledged sourdough devotee (“sourdough has taken over my life,” she confessed on the latest episode of the New Heights podcast) — but even the queen of homemade bread likes to let someone else do the cooking.

In 2014, Swift moved to New York City from Nashville. The city not only became her home and workplace over the past decade (she records most of her music in Electric Lady Studios in the West Village), but also inspired many of her songs, like “Welcome to New York” and “Cornelia Street.” And if there’s one city that the songwriter is most frequently spotted out and about in, it’s none other than NYC. When not busy traveling the world to perform three-hour-long shows, she roams the city from one renowned restaurant to another.

Even in the whirlwind of her record-breaking Eras Tour, the 14-time Grammy winner spent much of her downtime in New York, restaurant hopping from the West Village to Brooklyn to Soho. When it comes to The Tortured Poets Department singer’s dining choices, she knows exactly where to feast — and she’s become such a fixture at certain spots, you might even call her a regular.

For a pop star whose songs chronicle the details of ordinary moments, it feels fitting that her dining choices are as grounded as they are glamorous. Whether it’s an upscale dinner at Casa Cipriani or a late-night pizza run at Lucali, Swift’s restaurant map is a reminder that food — like music — is about connection, memory, and joy. And if you’re lucky enough to snag a reservation at one of her go-to spots, don’t be surprised if you find yourself wondering: What would Taylor order?

BondST

This sceney Japanese-inspired restaurant has been a staple Noho hotspot since the late ’90s. Opened by restaurateur Jonathan Morr in 1998, BondST celebrated its 25th anniversary last summer. Swift stopped by the sushi spot in 2023 with a group of girlfriends, including Only Murders in the Building star Selena Gomez, supermodel Gigi Hadid, and entrepreneur Brittany Mahomes. She then went back in December 2024, this time with boyfriend and three-time Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce and her longtime collaborator Jack Antanoff. Some of the most popular dishes to try at BondST include the Big Eye Tuna Tart and Hokkaido Scallop with Uni. 6 Bond Street

Casa Cipriani

After announcing her new album Life of a Showgirl during an appearance on the New Heights podcast on August 13, Swift marked the occasion at Casa Cipriani — the members-only club overlooking the harbor. Inside are an array of luxurious spaces like The Restaurant, Jazz Cafe, and The Pickering Room. The restaurant’s menu features iconic dishes and cocktails from Harry’s Bar in Venice, founded by Giuseppe Cipriani. Specialties include Carpaccio alla Cipriani, the original Bellini — both reputedly invented by Cipriani in Venice — and the famous vanilla meringue cake. 10 South Street

The Corner Store

One of Swift’s newest favorites, The Corner Store opened in Soho in September 2024 — and she visited twice within three weeks. The menu reads like a playful, upscale throwback to American comfort food: five-cheese pizza rolls, spinach artichoke dip, apple hand pies, and a lobster & caviar roll. The Caesar salad, topped with cream cheese croquettes and everything bagel croutons, is another standout. For cocktails, the Martini Service — meant for two or three people — makes for a lively start to the evening. 475 West Broadway

Emilio’s Ballato

Open since 1956, Emilio’s Ballato is as old-school Italian as it gets. It’s been dishing out classic Southern Italian fare in a warm, old-school setting where the walls are lined with celebrity autographs. The walk-in-only spot is perfect for a leisurely meal of baked clams, spaghetti with meatballs, rigatoni with fried zucchini, and Chicken Parmesan. In-the-know diners also order the off-menu Veal Antonio — a 16-ounce veal cutlet slathered in vodka sauce and topped with mozzarella, prosciutto, and peas. 55 East Houston Street

Lucali

In Carroll Gardens, self-taught pizzaiolo Mark Iacono’s Lucali has achieved near-mythic status since opening in 2006. The popular Brooklyn pizzeria’s menu is famously short — pizza or calzone — but regulars know to ask about occasional off-menu specials like fusilli with spicy vodka sauce. Swift and Travis Kelce spent a Friday night here this past fall, likely tucking into one of those thin-crust pies that made the pizzeria a sensation. Lucali is BYOB, cash only, and doesn’t take reservations, so plan accordingly. 575 Henry Street

Lure Fishbar

Step into Lure Fishbar in Soho, and you’re instantly transported onto a dimly lit yacht setting. The main dinner menu leans indulgent with dishes like lobster bisque, deviled eggs, surf and turf, lobster mac and cheese, and a burger topped with bacon onion jam. The Raw Bar & Sushi offerings include raw oysters, caviar service, crispy sushi rice, sashimi, and signature rolls. When Swift stopped by in 2023, her friend — stylist and designer Ashley Avignone — posted a photo of their sushi order: Hellfire Roll, Jalapeño Yellowtail Roll, and salmon nigiri. 142 Mercer Street

Minetta Tavern

A Greenwich Village icon since 1937, Minetta Tavern counts Ernest Hemingway, Eugene O’Neill, and Dylan Thomas among its former regulars. When Swift visited in 2023 with musician Phoebe Bridgers, restaurateur Keith McNally shared that she “really enjoyed it,” raving over baked oysters, foie gras amuse bouche, and scallops. According to McNally, after her first bite of oyster, she “opened her eyes and said, ‘My god!’” Today, Minetta Tavern is best known for its Black Label Burger, often hailed as the “gold standard” of burgers. 113 MacDougal St, New York

Monkey Bar

Since 1936, Monkey Bar has been a Midtown favorite for its red leather booths, moody lighting, and hearty dishes like Wagyu cheeseburgers and short rib stroganoff fettuccine. The 100-year-old establishment’s cocktails are just as celebrated. For the full Taylor Swift experience, start by ordering her drink of choice: a Cosmopolitan. As musical artist Gracie Abrams tells in an interview, on a night out that led to Swift and Abrams writing a song together, “[Taylor and I] had so many Cosmos.” At Monkey Bar, you can choose between a Classic, White Yuzu, Milano, or Grand Cosmopolitan. 60 East 54th Street

Via Carota

When chefs Jody Williams and Rita Sodi opened Via Carota, their West Village gastroteca quickly became one of the city’s most celebrated Italian restaurants — and earned them a James Beard Award for Best Chef: NYC. Swift has been spotted here many times over the years, most recently in May with actor Dakota Johnson. The Cacio e Pepe is the undisputed star, but it’s always worth asking about the daily pasta specials. Beyond the indulgent pastas and standout appetizers (the grilled artichokes are a must), Via Carota might be the one Italian restaurant where choosing a salad feels impossible, though the Insalata Verde — with its medley of endive, butter lettuce, frisée, and watercress — is the runaway favorite. 51 Grove Street

Waverly Inn & Garden

Few places capture West Village charm quite like Waverly Inn. The dining room, with its flickering candles and fireplace, is cozy without feeling cramped, and the pillowy table biscuits set the tone for comfort-driven dishes like chicken pot pie. Swift has been a regular since 2016, often seen here with friends, including Gigi Hadid and Girls creator Lena Dunham, and more recently with Travis. We’re dying to know, does the table bread at Waverly Inn compare to Swift’s homemade sourdough?16 Bank Street
