PHOENIX — The westbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway on-ramp at Arizona Avenue will be closing for two months.
The Chandler ramp is scheduled to close on Monday at 11:30 p.m. for 60 days, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The ramp is expected to reopen in mid-October. ADOT advises drivers to enter westbound Loop 202 at Alma School or McQueen Roads.
More detail on Loop 202 on-ramp closure
The closure will allow crews to fix the ramp as part of ADOT’s Loop 202 widening project in the Southeast Valley.
The purpose of the $200 million project is to add lanes and make other improvements on the Loop 202 freeway between Loop 101 Price Freeway and Val Vista Drive in Chandler and Gilbert.
The project started in August 2024 and will take two and a half years to complete, according to ADOT.
