SAN ANTONIO – Police are investigating an armed robbery on Thursday morning in which a man refilling an ATM was robbed.
The robbery happened just after 11 a.m. at a Security Service Federal Credit Union ATM in a parking lot off Southeast Loop 410 near Rigsby Avenue in the East Side.
Police said the worker was refilling the ATM when three to four armed suspects ambushed him, struck him in the head, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the machine.
The worker was treated at the scene.
Police said the suspects fled in a white Audi, and detectives are reviewing surveillance footage. They are expected to face at least aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon charges.
