PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A slightly cooler weekend is in store for the Valley, with below-average temperatures. But that’s set to change.
There’s a slight chance for storms in parts of Arizona on Saturday, with better chances in the High Country. Then expect a dry Sunday around the Phoenix area heading into next week.
Then the heat returns. Next week we’ll see high temperatures increase from 106 degrees to 111 by Wednesday.
By Thursday and Friday, we’ll be in the range of 113 and HeatRisk maps for those three days show heat in the major risk range. By Friday that risk will increase to the extreme range across much of metro Phoenix.
