NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing outside a popular local dance hall.

55-year-old David Saldana of New Braunfels has been arrested and charged with Homicide, after allegedly stabbing a 52-year-old man from San Antonio, killing him.

Around 12:10 a.m. on Saturday, the New Braunfels Police, the Comal County Sheriff’s Office, and Texas Department of Public Safety State Troopers were called to Legends Dance Hall for a large disturbance in the parking lot.

According to the New Braunfels Police Department, upon arrival, officers found a man with an apparent stab wound, and immidietly began life-saving medical care.

The 52-year-old victim was rushed to San Antonio Military Medical Center, but despite the best efforts of first responders, he succumbed to his injuries.

Based on evidence gathered at the scene, as well as witness statements, investigators identified a suspect in the homicide and quickly obtained an arrest warrant.

New Braunfels SWAT apprehended the suspect without incident at a home near the corner of Gruene Road and Glenbrook Drive.

Saldana will be booked into the Coma County Jail, where a bond amount will be set.

The investigation is ongoing. Additional Arrests and or charges may be pending.
