WHAT CHEER, Iowa — Some severe thunderstorms moved through Iowa on Friday afternoon, creating some eerie looking clouds in the sky.
The pictures you are looking at are from Nicole Metz in What Cheer.
There were also multiple trees and powerlines down across the state.
Storms were able to develop due to the warm, very humid air that’s moved back into place. Strong wind gusts over 70 mph were reported in portions of eastern Iowa.
Additional storms will be possible in eastern Iowa Saturday night, as well as Sunday night. If you capture any photos, you can submit them by clicking here.
