We did it!
Thanks to our tireless organizing over many months, our historic ULP Strike that rocked LA County, plus our direct action at various worksites and at Board of Supervisors’ offices, we now have before us a strong Tentative Agreement that we can all be proud of.
Our proposed new TA features:
In year one: An historic, largest-ever $5,000 bonus
In year two: A $2,000 bonus and a 2% COLA increase
In year three: A 5% COLA increase
An 8% annual healthcare contribution (24% over three years)
The removal of LA County management’s proposed “Poison Pill” language, which would have erased our ability to bargain for more at our unit tables
Plus improvements to grievance language, expanded union access to NEOs, and a commitment to fill vacancies
These are hard-fought gains that were only made possible because we, the members of SEIU 721, demanded them. Now, it’s time to secure our strong new contract by voting YES to ratify it.
Your elected Bargaining Policy Committee strongly recommends a YES vote to secure our landmark victories.
Ratification voting will be available at worksites over the coming weeks. Check out the ratification schedule below. More dates will be added, so be sure to bookmark this page.
