A man wanted since May on an attempted murder charge out of New York City was arrested Monday in Worcester, Massachusetts, federal officials said.
A warrant for the arrest of Gregory Alphonso, 33, was issued May 23 in Brooklyn, according to the U.S. Marshals. They didn’t share specifics on the attempted killing that led to the charge against Alphonso.
The agency took him into custody with the help of officers from Worcester and Massachusetts State Police, the Marshals said.
Alphonso was set for an extradition hearing in Massachusetts. It wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney who could speak to the his arrest.
