One of the most impressive streaks came to an end last season when Oklahoma State finally failed to make a postseason appearance in 2024.

Prior to last season, the Cowboys had reached a bowl game for 19-straight seasons, which was good for the fifth-longest streak behind Georgia (28 seasons), Oklahoma (26), Alabama (21) and Clemson (20). It was a standard that head coach Mike Gundy brought to Stillwater his second season at the helm before seeing it drop off by the second week of November, 2024.

In Oklahoma State’s practice facility, a banner from each bowl appearance is hanging from the rafters. Before Gundy took over, the Cowboys had played in just 16 bowl games since 1944. 

Now, with new coaches around him and a plethora of new players to coach, Gundy and the Cowboys will look to return to the postseason and play a 13th game for the 22nd time this century.
