NEW YORK CITY — Police searching for three suspects who attacked and robbed multiple moped riders in New York City this summer.

The trio threatened victims at knife point in six incidents before fleeing and taking their mopeds. The first reported incident dates back to June, with the latest crime being committed in early August.

The first incident on June 30 at 107 Avenue in Queens saw the suspects target a 29-year-old man on his moped. The robbers struck the man in the head with a chain and take his moped by knife point, police said.

The victim suffered minor injuries after the incident.

Most recently, on Aug. 7, the trio struck twice in the span of an hour. First, targeting a 55-year-old man at Rockaway Boulevard and 103 Street around 6:45 p.m. The robbers forced the man off his moped before fleeing on the vehicles, police said.

A few minutes later, near Linden Boulevard, another man was attacked by the three suspects at knife point.

The first suspect was last seen wearing dark shorts, dark sandals, and a black hoodie. The second suspect was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue shorts, and sneakers. The third suspect was last seen wearing dark sweatpants, a dark hoodie, and tan sandals, police said.
