The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County recorded its largest increase since June 18 Thursday, rising nine-tenths of a cent to $4.56.
The average price is a half-cent more than one week ago, but seven- tenths of a cent less than one month ago and 10.6 cents lower than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has dropped $1.88 since rising to a record $6.43 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose four-tenths of a cent to $3.14, one day after a five-day streak of decreases totaling 3 cents ended with an increase of three-tenths of a cent.
The national average price is 2.3 cents less than one week ago, three- tenths of a cent lower than one month ago and 26 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.879 since rising to a record $5.01 on June 14, 2022.
