Dallas rapper BigXthaPlug was arrested and booked into the Dallas County jail early Friday morning, records show.
The booking did not list a charge or give further information. CBS was the first to report the news.
BigX, born Xavier Landum, celebrated on Thursday night the release of his new country-crossover album, I Hope You’re Happy, at a night club near Deep Ellum.
The 27-year-old artist was expected to hold another album release party at a Wingstop in the D-FW area on Friday night. It’s unclear if that event is still on.

Landum first came to fame with his 2022 song “Texas.” His 2024 album, Take Care, reached Billboard’s Top Ten and recently made platinum.
His newest album, I Hope You’re Happy, dropped Friday and features prominent country singers including Jelly Roll, Luke Combs and Shaboozey.
