- In Margate, firefighters rescued 16 people from their cars and 30 others from a restaurant on Amherst Avenue during the flooding.
- Wind speeds will turn calmer but the high rip current risk extends through Saturday. A Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 2 a.m. Saturday for Kent and inland Sussex counties in Delaware as well as Cumberland and Cape May counties in New Jersey, according to the National Weather Service.
