The Seattle Storm host the Dallas Wings tonight at Climate Pledge Arena, closing out Dallas’s grueling West Coast road trip.

The Wings have lost three straight, including one-point heartbreakers to the Los Angeles Sparks.

Rookie sensation Paige Bueckers continues to shine despite the losses, coming off a spectacular 44-point performance on 17-of-21 shooting Wednesday — including a perfect 4-for-4 from beyond the arc.

While Dallas (9–27) is officially out of playoff contention, Bueckers has quickly established herself as a superstar and cornerstone for the franchise’s future.

Seattle (18–18) enters the night clinging to the eighth and final playoff spot. The Sparks sit just half a game back, with the Washington Mystics two games out. But the Storm haven’t helped themselves lately, going 3–7 over their last 10 games and holding just an 8–10 home record.

Momentum and home-court advantage are clearly not on their side. Seattle, however, has a 2–1 lead in the season series, winning by an average margin of 7 points. But Dallas won their last matchup — a 24-point blowout in July.

Prediction

Seattle’s veteran depth — led by Skylar Diggins, Nneka Ogwumike, and Ezi Magbegor — gives them the edge. But Dallas has proven they can hang tough, as shown in their near-upsets of the Sparks. Expect another big night from Bueckers with the Wings executing in crunch time, winning in a close game.
