A use permit to allow outdoor cooking with a smoker for the Wild Barbecue restaurant is to be discussed at Tuesday’s meeting of the Tempe Development Review Commission.
The commission meets for a study session at 5:30 p.m. and a meeting at 6 p.m. Aug. 26 in the Tempe City Council Chambers, 31 E. Fifth St.
Wild Barbecue is a proposed family-owned, Texas-style barbecue restaurant at 601 W. University on property zoned CSS, commercial shopping and services. The site was a former distillery with a tasting room and is adjacent to an existing restaurant to the west.
