Sunday in Dallas-Fort Worth is expected to get hot with temperatures in the high 90s, but the area may see cooler weather in the coming week.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for a sunny Sunday with temperatures as high as 97 degrees. The heat index value is expected to be as high as 100, which may make it feel warmer than it actually is.

An Ozone Action Day was issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for the area, as D-FW is also likely to see increased smog formation.
