Westbound I-20 to close overnight at I-820 interchange in Fort Worth

The closures are set for Tuesday, Aug. 26, and Wednesday, Aug. 27, from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Fort Worth drivers, heads up! 

Westbound I-20 will be completely closed at the I-820 interchange for two nights this week. The closures are set for Tuesday, Aug. 26, and Wednesday, Aug. 27, from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., as long as the weather cooperates.

During the closures, all westbound traffic will be detoured to the U-turn at Sun Valley Drive. Officials recommend finding an alternate route and leaving a little earlier than usual.

The speed limit is down to 55 mph throughout the Southeast Connector corridor, so plan to slow down in the work zone.
