With about a month to go, the headliner for Oktoberfest Dallas has been announced — Oklahoma City-based disco band Superfreak.

Oktoberfest Dallas

Red performs at Oktoberfest Dallas.

The annual Exchange Club of Lake Highlands event will take place on Sept. 27 at Flag Pole Hill, where it has been hosted ever since moving from the Lake Highlands Town Center in 2016.

According to the band’s website, Superfreak band members have individually performed on Broadway, The Tonight Show, Conan O’Brien and TNN’s Prime Time Country. Smoke machines, stage lighting and displays, choreography and a line array PA system have been advertised as highlights of past Superfreak shows. In addition, the four-member act is also known for donning outlandish Disco-esque costumes.

Superfreak will be preceded on the main stage by Red, a Taylor Swift tribute, who will return after drawing record crowds last year, and North Texas-based cover band The Jukebox Legends. Red will also perform at the Dallas Arbroretum.

Wristbands and tickets for the event are already on sale. Find more information here.
