Emerald Keepers’s internship program has a new leader for the 2025-2026 school year. Carol Lemei, a well-known Coronado college-admissions consultant and former lab technician at the Coronado High School ceramics studio, will be heading the program, which teaches environmental and leadership skills to CHS students. Lemei’s husband, Bill Lemei, a popular and well-loved CHS math and physics teacher, also hopes to lend a hand.
The Emerald Keepers high school internship program is now in its fifth year. High school students gain hands-on experience in environmental stewardship, community outreach, and sustainability initiatives and must volunteer a minimum of 35 hours during the school year. Applications for the program will be accepted through Aug. 31.
