The final holiday weekend of summer is coming up, but it looks like rain could ruin some plans.

A strong cold front is expected to move into the region Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office, bringing lower temperatures and rain chances with it. While some may rejoice at highs in the mid-80s for the first time in weeks, those balmy temperatures could dampen some weekend plans.

Friday has the highest chance of precipitation, at 50% during the day. Rain chances should be lower Saturday and Monday, but will still be present throughout the entire weekend.

It’s still expected to be humid this weekend, but with the temperature drop, the heat index is forecast to be significantly lower, in the upper 80s on Saturday and Sunday.
