Capcom has shared the first clips of Resident Evil Requiem gameplay as part of a developer deep dive in the publisher’s latest Spotlight showcase. Catch the video above.

In between interviews with lead developers at the studio, Capcom debuted multiple gameplay videos from both the first and third-person perspectives, which you can freely switch between in the title. We see new protagonist Grace Ashcroft walking down hallways with a lighter in her hand, then later on in what appears to be a large entrance area.

The deep dive confirms Resident Evil Requiem is set 30 years after Raccoon City was blown to pieces, and Leon is even namedropped, with developers sharing why he wasn’t chosen as the main character. Due to his experiences, it’s said Leon wouldn’t find the sort of scares in Requiem all that terrifying.

Resident Evil Requiem is coming to PS5 on 27th February 2026, and the next time we’ll see the game will most likely be at Gamescom 2025, where it’s confirmed to be playable.
