PHOENIX – The wife of a man who was shot and killed in Phoenix in February was arrested six months after the murder, authorities said.

Erica Brown, 32, was booked into jail for second-degree murder on Thursday, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

She is accused of killing 31-year-old A Trevon Brown on Feb. 25.

Police responded to a call about a fight in the area of 22nd Avenue and Medlock Drive, north of Camelback Road, around 6 a.m. that day.

The caller reported hearing one gunshot while officers were on the way, police said.

The victim was found at the scene with at least one gunshot wound. He died of his injuries after being taken to a hospital.

After a monthslong investigation of the evidence, detectives developed probable cause to arrest Erica Brown for her husband’s murder.

No other details about the case were made available.
