As the summer heat moves on, the perfect opportunity to plan some outdoor fun with your family is here.
The city of Bedford is bringing back its annual Beats and Eats Fest at Generations Park at Boys Ranch this Saturday. The Labor Day weekend celebration features free activities, vendors, kid zones, food trucks and a lineup of performers. Find out more about this year’s musical performances below.
Also, Stage West Theatre has a new Pulitzer Prize-winning production that puts a unique twist on Shakespeare’s Hamlet hitting its stage this weekend. It’s a show I definitely plan on checking out.
Experience rockin’ return of Bedford’s music festival
The festival kicks off with a tribute to rock band Santana before The Inspiration Band, Guns 4 Roses and Le Freak take to the stage. Eli Young Band will close out the night.

Pulitzer Prize-winning play reimagines Shakespeare classic for Fort Worth stage
“Fat Ham” relocates Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” from the late medieval Danish court to a backyard barbecue in the American South. The R-rated play tells the story of Juicy who vows to break the cycles of violence in service of joy and liberation.

Break free from the stress and sing along to Queen’s biggest hits

Swim final lap around lazy river before end of season

Dance to Tejano music group’s groovy tunes at free concert
The Latin 10-piece ensemble, which started out in San Antonio in 1969, has grown to one of the most distinctive Tejano bands in the state.
