PHOENIX — Two people are dead following a shooting in Phoenix on Saturday morning, authorities said.

Police responded to a shooting call in the area of 22nd Place and Roosevelt Street at 7:45 a.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department. 

Upon arrival, officers found two males with gunshot wounds. They were both taken to a nearby hospital where they later died due to their injuries, police said.

Upon investigation, authorities said both men were allegedly in a fight that resulted in gunfire and both received gunshot wounds. No other people are suspected to be involved in the altercation.
