A train derailed in southwest Fort Worth, leaking carbon dioxide from two of the nine cars, officials said.

FORT WORTH, Texas — A train derailed in southwest Fort Worth on Saturday, according to officials. 

The Fort Worth Fire Department confirmed to WFAA that nine cars had derailed in the 4700 block of West Vickery Boulevard. Three of the cars had product on them and two were leaking carbon dioxide, FWFD said. 

Officials said there was no threat to the public and parts of Vickery Boulevard were shut down. FWFD told WFAA the train belongs to Union Pacific, who will be in charge of the cleanup. WFAA got this photo of the scene: 


A shelter-in-place was issued for a two-block radius, FWFD said. No one was injured in the train derailment, according to FWFD.
