FORT WORTH, Texas — Cleanup efforts are underway after a Union Pacific freight train derailed in Fort Worth on Sunday morning. Nine cars jumped the tracks, with two of them leaking carbon dioxide.

As a precaution, officials issued a shelter-in-place order, which was later lifted. No injuries were reported, and the fire department stated, “At no time…was the public in danger.”

The cause of the derailment is under investigation, and it remains unclear how long the cleanup will take.
