NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a serial thief who stole entire cash registers as he held up Bronx businesses at gunpoint in recent weeks.
The NYPD released video over the weekend of the brazen crook walking out of a Bronx store while holding a stolen register—the receipt paper roll unraveling behind him as he coolly flees the scene.

According to police, the suspect walked into the business at Boston Road and East 174th Street in Crotona Park East last Monday night and pulled a gun on a 48-year-old worker. He then grabbed the cash register that was valued at $3,000 and contained $300 in cash.
Police have connected the same man to four more robberies—three in Tremont and one in Mount Eden—since Aug. 4.
The suspect walked off with registers in multiple robberies, and held up victims in several more, police said.

In each robbery, the suspect pulled a gun on a victim and demanded money. In total, he got away with over $5,200 in cash and valuables, police said. No injuries were reported.
In another robbery from Aug. 6, the suspect walked into a laundromat on Crotona Avenue in Tremont, flashed a firearm and stole a cash register, police said.
