The police department said four young children were left home alone in the 2200-block of West 50th Place in Back of the Yards, Chicago.
CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police are investigating after four young children were found home alone.
Officers found them after responding to a call on Sunday afternoon in the Back of the Yards neighborhood’s 2200-block of West 50th Place.

Officers discovered a 6-month old girl, a 1-year-old boy, a 6-year-old girl, and an 8-year-old boy who were all left unattended.
The children were checked out at a hospital and are now in Illinois Department of Children and Family Services custody.
