It’s still way too early to look at bowl projections for the postseason.
But one week into the season, it’s still fun to think about the potential and where the Louisville football team could be headed for a bowl game.
The Cardinals beat Eastern Kentucky 51-17 in the first game of the season and will play James Madison this Friday at 7 p.m. It’s game two of eight home games this season at L&N Stadium for the Cardinals. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
Louisville has appeared in several bowl projections in the preseason and now after one week. The Cardinals are hoping to get back to a bowl game for the fifth straight season after beating Washington in the Sun Bowl last season. U of L has participated in 27 bowl games with an overall record of 13-13-1.
The Cardinals won the final three games a year ago, finishing the season at 9-4.
Here’s a review of a few of the early 2025 bowl projections available across the online landscape. Not every media outlet that does bowl projections during the season has produced a set of bowl projections just yet.
