FORT WORTH – Ramiro Garza Barragán, 75, a beloved son, brother, husband, father and friend to many, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family, after an extended illness on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Funeral Service: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2025 in Mount Olivet Chapel, 2301 North Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76111. Visitation: One hour prior in Mount Olivet Chapel. Born in Del Rio, Texas on April 12, 1950 to Jose and Dora Barragán. Ramiro grew up listening to motown, enjoyed reading and dabbled in both carpentry and poetry. He had a lifetime interest in world events, was sympathetic to people’s struggles, and admired the revolutionary spirit. He was friendly, open-minded and loved getting to know people, relating to them with an endearing sense of humor. His laugh, gentleness and great conversation will be eternally missed. Ramiro is preceded in death by his parents, Dora and Jose; his siblings Juan, Rolando, Rodolfo and Leticia. He was survived by brothers, Ruben, Richard and Jesus; his wife, Cristina; his daughters, Tonatzin, Xochitl and Paloma; his grand-daughters, Citlali and Metzli; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews and their extended families.
