PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A central Phoenix bakery has blown up on social media, quickly gaining a reputation for its delicious and stunning treats!
Hunnie Butter Bakery, located near 12th Street and Highland Avenue, is known for its weekly specials. Since garnering so much online attention, customers are lining up outside the shop most mornings! Get there fast, because the treats often sell out.
Owner Jasmine Frank and her husband Jonathan opened the bakery two years ago but have been in the food industry for over a decade. The Franks say carrot cake and banana pudding cheesecake are among their best sellers, along with red velvet and chocolate cake.
“We do run weekly specials, but we also always try to keep those nostalgic flavors as well,” she said.

Jonathan says the best part is working alongside his best friend, his wife. “We have an understanding without having to communicate. Sometimes we just kind of know what each other’s feeling. So that makes things a little bit easier, for sure,”
The shop also sells cupcakes, cookies and creates custom cakes for events and weddings. Don’t forget to try the peach cobbler pound cake, only sold on Friday and Saturday! Follow the shop’s social media for more on their weekly specials. They are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
