PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Drivers planning to travel in the north Phoenix and Chandler areas should be aware of some major freeway ramp closures scheduled this weekend by the Arizona Department of Transportation.
According to ADOT, the northbound I-17 off-ramp will be closed at the Loop 303 and Sonoran Desert Drive from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. on Monday. Instead, officials suggest exiting northbound I-17 to westbound Dove Valley Road and using southbound 43rd Avenue to reach westbound Loop 303.
Transit officials also said the eastbound Loop 101 ramp to southbound SR 51 will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday for construction.
Additionally, those in the East Valley should be aware that the eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Price Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday until 10 a.m. on Sunday. Drivers are urged to consider getting onto the Loop 202 at Dobson Road.
Also, eastbound on and off-ramps will be closed at Cooper Road from 10 p.m. Friday until 9 a.m. Saturday. It will close again from 9 p.m. Saturday until 9 a.m. Sunday. ADOT said drivers should consider entering eastbound Loop 202 at Cooper Road or exiting at McQueen Road.
